What happens after I submit it?After you submit a report, the information you provide will be stored in our secure database. A message will be sent to our staff letting them know a new report has been submitted. Staff will then review your report and make a decision about what further action to take. If you have included your contact information, a member of our staff may contact you to provide you with information about services that are available to you. Our staff may also offer to assist you in filing a report to the police, if you choose to do that. If you have submitted an anonymous report, we will not contact you, but we will still review your report. Regularly, throughout the year, a comprehensive report will be released to provide details about the kinds of hate incidences we see in Hamilton. Information about what happened during your incident may be included, if you give us permission to use your story. Information that would personally identify you, including your real name, contact information or address will NEVER be included in the report. |
